Senior Transmission Engineer

Summary:

EE Engineering graduate with 5 years minimum experience. Familiar with microwave transmission engineering design and calculation software such as Pathloss and Planet. Must be a self-starter and have practical hands on experience with both SDH and PDH microwave radio systems. In depth knowledge of ADM 155 multiplex systems. Harris / Nera SDH radio experience will also be an asset.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for microwave system design, integration and operational maintenance of an extensive PDH-SDH transmission system. Must be a self starter and prepared to travel

REQUIREMENTS

Experience in engineering skills both hardware and software associated with microwave system design.

EE graduate with 5 Years hands on experience with an established microwave vendor or operator.

LOCATION

RF OPTIMIZATION ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for completing RF optimization for new and existing networks. This includes the analysis of Network quality and performance data, the coordination/implementation of technical solutions for Network quality and performance issues, data collection & analysis and performs duties supporting overall RF optimization efforts. The incumbent must be willing to travel, this includes short to long term assignments throughout Asia.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the RF optimization of newly integrated sites by verifying frequency plans, interference issues, handovers, and coverage through parameters and hardware changes.(antenna azimuths and downtilts)
  • Coordinate and participate in RF optimization data collection, analysis and resolution of optimization issues.
  • Review and generate changes through support of the RF group to existing frequency plans as required for network optimization.
  • Responsible for support and maintenance of RF optimization and RF planning databases, including inventories.
  • Interface with internal and external customers to support all optimization efforts and support the deployment of technical solutions.
  • Provide input to the RF planning group for site identification packages, site design packages, coverage and interference concerns with respect to the existing network.
  • Open, track, and update CARODs for the trouble ticket system.
  • Represent the region in base support calls, customer meetings and internal meetings.
  • Conduct analysis of Performance Measurements data, and develop and coordinate the implementation of corrective measures.
  • Responsible for writing and documenting optimization method & procedures.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and calibration schedules for all related test equipment.
  • Make presentations to customers (internal and external) concerning Clients RF Optimization processes and reports.

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be capable of working in a team environment and as well as individually.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year optimization experience.
  • Good analytical ability and communication skills.
  • Degree in Telecommunications or relevant discipline

RF LEAD ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for leading a team of RF engineers to complete a specific project or task. The incumbent must coordinate RF related activities and liaison with project management, installation crews and the customer. Responsibilities include ensuring that Clients methods & procedures are implemented and adhered to.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the RF design quality.
  • Responsible for the RF engineering of new sites (macro and/or micro).

RF DESIGN ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for completing the RF engineering of new macro & micro networks. This can include indoor RF design. Must possess strong RF skills and solid practical experience. This includes site qualification, design & analysis of sites using GRANDX, frequency planning, site configuration and growth planning.

OMC ENGINEER

Summary:

This role will interface with customers on all OMC issues, definition of data requirements, testing, troubleshooting and debugging network problems and installation of software upgrades.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interface with customer on all OMC issues, questions
  • Plan and define the OMC aspects of customer acceptance
  • Define OMC data requirements
  • Execute OMC testing
  • Provide customer with technical support and consultation regarding OMC final acceptance
  • Troubleshoot and debug network OMC problems
  • Perform installation, integration, cluster test and acceptance testing
  • Load and maintain network configuration databases
  • Install software and hardware upgrades
  • Perform UNIX system administration tasks
  • Monitor BSS objects and status and alarms, and perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics (alarm analysis)
  • Create and maintain database and database backups
  • Co-ordinate installation and testing of new BSS software releases
  • Co-ordinate and support all BSS integration activities
  • Co-ordinate installation and testing of new OMC software and hardware releases
  • Manage the BSS/OMC databases and parameters
  • Responsible for all OMC activity for the complete network
  • Design and execute all OMC acceptance testing with the customer
  • Provide technical and consultative support to PTTs

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Computing degree
  • GSM experience

JOB SUMMARY

Is responsible for technical aspects of BSS and MSC engineering in Pre/Post sales planning and design.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. BSS/MSC Configurations and network design:
  • Determine the necessary switching requirements with the customer.
  • Design and configure Clients MSC and BSS network
  • Detailed knowledge of Clients MSC and BSS products
  • Respond to point by point to NSS technical specifications in tender documents.
  • Design based on customer given traffic models and commercial objectives
  1. Clarification and presentation on Clients GSM Product Line:
  • Educate Clients’s internal customers (sales teams)
  • Educate Clients’s customers on BSS/MSC features and hardware
  • Conduct workshops covering Clients BSS/MSC products and design philosophy
  • Conduct training on Switching and related topics
  1. Post sales design support during rollout.
  • Operator background helpful in Build
